REGULAR LOAF (pan size: 4.5" x 12" x 3"):
1 cup milk
1/3 cup water
3 1/2 - 3 3/4 cups flour 
2 tsp salt
3 Tb sugar or honey
2 Tb butter
2 1/4 tsp yeast

SMALL LOAF (pan size: 4.5" x 10" x 3"):
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup water
2 3/4 cups AP flour OR 2 cups AP flour + 3/4 cup wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 Tb (rounded) sugar or honey
1 1/2 Tb butter
1 3/4 yeast

In a bread machine: Add ingredients in order listed to the machine. Set on dough cycle. Punch down and flatten into a rectangle on a clean, greased surface. Tightly roll dough and pinch the ends down to secure, then pinch the ends together to form a loaf. Place in a greased pan and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Place in a warm over for 30 minutes. (Turn oven on when forming the loaf, then turn off) Take out and turn oven on to 350. Place some water in a pie pan and put on the bottom rack. Once the oven is heated (about 5-10 minutes) place the loaf on the middle rack and bake for 40 minutes (38 minutes for smaller loaf). Promptly remove loaf from pan and cool on a wire rack.
